Rotran has become the world leader in the relocation of civil and military
flight simulators. Based in the UK, the company provides cost effective,
superior performance and the highest level of customer service.
History
After more than 25 years experience of handling the movement and installation
of some 200 simulators, the present management decided to form a dedicated
simulator logistics company providing customers with a service that was
second to none. Thus in 1995, Rotran Simulator Logistics was born.
Present
Rotran has carried out some of the worlds largest relocation projects
on time and within budget including the turnkey relocation of 14 training
devices for America West Airlines in 2002. All the simulators were relocated
from various locations into a new facility in Phoenix, USA. The relocation
included CAE, Rediffusion, Thomson CSF and Thales manufactured devices
and the project was completed ahead of schedule.
The company also completed one of the worlds largest relocation
contracts for GE Commercial Finance Aviation Training, which involved
relocating 8 simulators from various locations into a new facility in
London, UK. Other major relocation projects include 6 mission simulators
for CAE at RAF Benson, UK and the relocation of 9 simulators within the
USA for Alteon in 2003.
Rotran staff includes highly experienced engineers and technicians, several
with over twenty five years experience within the simulator industry.
Rotran engineers are experienced in relocating all makes and vintage of
simulators including CAE, Link, Thales, Rediffusion, FSI, Thompson, Reflectone
and AAI.
Mirror Re-Skins
Rotran staff are extremely experienced in carrying out mylar mirror re-skins
on civil and military simulators and have carried out numerous re-skins
worldwide for various customers including Thales Training & Simulation,
Alteon, BAE Systems and Flight Safety Services.
